Antique Chinese coral, sterling silver

Sometime in the eighties Alexandra came into contact with a man who had just purchased some antiques and a trove of coral beads from the officials of the Chinese government (these must have been previously confiscated from Chinese citizens during the Mao regime).  Here the large coral tubes are paired with silver units inspired by the Supremacists paintings of Kasimir Malevich.
